Diversidad genética neutral y adaptativa, una simple explicación

Resumen

Partiendo de la premisa básica de que la diversidad genética es el nivel primario de la biodiversidad, el artículo enfatiza la importancia de la variación genética y presenta una completa revisión de documentos especializados para explicar las diferencias e implicancias de sus dos componentes; la variación genética adaptativa y la variación genética neutral. En el trabajo se analiza también los efectos de estas formas de variación en el campo de la conservación genética y presenta un resumen de los principales estudios de diversidad genética efectuados para especies forestales nativas de Chile.
